Well, we're exhausted! It's only 7:00 (6:00 central time) and I think we're both ready to go to bed...
The flight down here was a good one. I really like Sun Country; we even got a free meal!
So far today, we got through to the ship and realized our change of clothes were still in our checked bags. (Note for next time: bring a change of clothes.) Our room is nice: not too big, not too small for the two of us. We had a life boat drill, to which we showed up early. If you cruise, don't show up early. You just have to stand longer and be cramped in the back.
We saw the ship off (or were we seen going off?) the dock and met a nice couple from St. Louis. We might try to have dinner with them sometime; our experience tonight was less than pleasant. The food could be best described as mediocre. We sat with a couple who came to dinner late. The man complained during the whole meal, which was only about ten minutes. Then he left. The lady then apologized and immediately told us he was dying of cancer. The whole situation was awkward at best.
Well, we got up at 4:45 this morning, so it's bedtime soon... Tomorrow, the Bahamas and snorkeling!
