I made a dental appointment for myself six weeks ago. I am on the student insurance plan, so instead of making my appointment with my normal dentist, I made one with the dentists on this campus. Because it was free. And by "free", I mean I pay hundreds of dollars a month for coverage and thousands of dollars in the same period for tuition.
That being said, you could probably understand the disconcerting feeling I had when I got a call from the dental service saying my appointment was canceled because my hygienist was sick. "No problem," I thought, "I'll just reschedule." The next time to reschedule was in eight days, at 10:00 in the morning. Whoops, I have class during that time! So I got into the next available slot. I will be getting my teeth cleaned on Friday, May 22.
