They call me doctor worm
A few times a semester, I volunteer at a free clinic in Minneapolis, the Philip's Neighborhood clinic. It is a student run clinic where we see patients, then diagnose and treat them. It is great to help people who are grateful for your help. I saw three patients tonight. The first was for injectable birth control. I didn't even know birth control came in injectable form. But fortunately, the last case of the evening was GERD. I knew the drug, scheduling regimen, side effects, and contraindications before I was even out of the room. It's always good to end on a positive note. But getting out before 11:00 tonight would have been good too...
